8 Days Horseback Riding In Montenegro Mountains
Day 1: Arrival - Kolasin
After arrival at the airport, local hosts will make sure that you enjoy every part of your tour around Montenegro. We will have a transfer from Podgorica (the capital of MNE) to the northern part of Montenegro, the town of Kolasin located at an altitude of 960m. The ride through Platije Canyon will certainly be the most interesting one. On the way, we will visit the Moraca monastery (built-in 1252 –one of the most monumental medieval memorials in Montenegro).
Upon arrival, we will meet horses and have an orientation briefing during dinner, tasting Montenegrin's traditional cuisine.

Day 2: Monastery Tour
After breakfast, we will prepare horses and start riding along the stream and woods to Izlazak, the viewpoint of Kolasin. The ride goes near Cirilovac monastery up to Kljuc peak and Kapela, and then across Bjelasica meadows to eco Katun Vranjak (summer pasture Vranjak).
O/n Eko katun Vranjak
Eco katunVranjak (Summer Pasture) is located by the very border of the National Park Biogradska Gora at an altitude of 1720m. During dinner, you will have a chance to taste some of our forgotten meals. Night magic is waiting for you in small comfortable eco huts for two persons, while during the night mountain sounds and silence are interrupted by an owl hooting or howling of wolfs.
Early getting up will offer you the first-morning sun rays falling into the mountain complex that surrounds finding your lungs deeply full of fresh mountain air. You might let nature takes its course while you are overwhelmed with a view at Prokletije, Maganik, and Sinjajevina.
Day 3: NP Biogradska Gora
Today's ride is located at NP Biogradska Gora. From Vranjak we ride near Zekova Glava peak and Pescia lake, then we will visit Ursulovacko, Severine & Sisko lake. The ride continues to Svatovsko Groblje, the spring of Biogradska river, Ogorela Glava, and ends at Katun Goles where we will overnight.
NP Biogradska Gora was proclaimed a National Park in 1952. The most impressive part of the National Park is the virgin forest reserve, a surface of 16 sq km, where a strict protection system has been established. That is one of the last virgin forests in Europe.

Sinjavina viewpoints will show us different scenery, including Lipovo valley and we finish our ride for today at Potrk Katun.
After we set at the local's house, we will have a welcome drink and dinner.
Day 5: Savina Voda Lake
Today we will enjoy the amazing scenery while riding through wild beauty. After the morning ride to Savina Voda lake, we ride up hills to Sinjavina plates, near Ruzica church, and continue across Sinjavina to Zabojsko lake where we can spend some time relaxing and enjoying untouched nature. Short ride to Katun near the lake where we will overnight at lodges with local people.
Hidden in Sinjajevina cliffs and surrounded by dense coniferous trees, there is a lake of emerald green color. Its biggest depth of 19 meters places this almost undiscovered jewel among the three deepest lakes in Montenegro. Its beauty and quality are preserved and confirmed by a strict regime of protection within the National Park “Durmitor.”

After breakfast ride goest across Sinjavina meadows, through the local villages of Saranci where we will have lunch with local people with traditional food, and continue to Durmitor mountain, Zminjicko lake, Njegovudja and afterward to Zabljak. This breathtaking national park was formed by glaciers and is traversed by rivers and underground streams. Along the Tara river canyon, which has the deepest gorges in Europe, the dense pine forests are interspersed with clear lakes and harbor a wide range of endemic flora.
It was inscribed on the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites in 1980.
