2 DAYS RAFTING TOUR
Rafting on the Tara River is one of the most thrilling and unforgettable outdoor experiences in Europe. Flowing through the heart of Montenegro, the Tara River is famous for its crystal-clear turquoise waters, dramatic canyon walls, and untouched natural beauty. Often called the “Tear of Europe” because of its pure water, the river offers an ideal combination of adventure and scenic relaxation.
The Tara River Canyon is the second deepest canyon in the world, stretching over 1,300 meters at its deepest point. As you raft through this breathtaking landscape, you pass towering cliffs, lush forests, hidden waterfalls, and peaceful riverbanks that feel far removed from modern life. Each bend of the river reveals a new postcard-worthy view, making the journey as visually rewarding as it is exciting.
Rafting on the Tara is suitable for both beginners and experienced adventurers. During spring and early summer, the river becomes more energetic due to melting snow, providing an adrenaline-filled ride. In late summer, the water level is calmer, making it perfect for families and first-time rafters who want to enjoy a smooth and relaxing adventure. Professional guides ensure safety throughout the trip while sharing insights about the river’s ecology and local culture.
One of the highlights of the rafting route is passing beneath the iconic Đurđevića Tara Bridge, a symbol of Montenegro and a stunning photo opportunity. Many rafting tours also include breaks for swimming, cliff-jumping, or simply enjoying the peaceful sounds of nature.
Rafting on the Tara River is more than just a water sport—it is a journey through one of Europe’s last great wilderness areas. Whether you seek excitement, natural beauty, or a refreshing escape from daily life, the Tara River delivers an experience that stays with you long after the adventure ends.
