8 DAYS FAMILY TOUR, MONTENEGRO

1st Day –Arrival

Transfer to Kolasin (airport Golubovci, Podgorica- Kolasin). On the way from Podgorica to Kolasin visit the Moraca monastery which was built in the 1252 years. It is one of the most monumental orthodox medieval monasteries in Montenegro. O/n at Bijeli Potok cabins 4*, placed in beautiful ambient, near the forest and stream

2nd Day – Jeep Tour

Today we will have a jeep tour, „Bjelasica ring“ through the National Park Biogradska Gora including a visit and a walk around the lake of Biograd.

On the way, we will have lunch in Katun Dolevi Lalevica where we will taste traditional Montenegrin cuisine.
NP Biogradska Gora was proclaimed a National Park in 1952. The most impressive part of the National Park is the virgin forest reserve, a surface of 16 sq km, where a strict protection system has been established. That is one of the last virgin forests in Europe. Enjoyment guaranteed.

3rd Day – Rafting Day

Rafting day - Splaviste – Zugica Luka (part of NP Durmitor area) *This is not extreme rafting, it is a relaxing one where you will enjoy untouched and unspoiled nature with a guaranteed good time on the river.

From Kolasin Road goes (1h15min ride) along the Tara River to Splavise–a rafting starting point, where we will get instructions and start our 2-2,5h long tour through the deepest Tara canyon.

From Splaviste Camp rafting continues through Ljutica, under Djurdjevica Tara Bridge (365m long, the roadway stands 172 meters above the Tara River -at the time of its completion, it was the biggest vehicular concrete arch bridge in Europe), then through Zeleni Virovi and Zugic Luka (about 14 km).

After this tour, we will enjoy the most beautiful nature at the campsite near Djurdjevica Tara Bridge.
*Adrenaline lovers will have the opportunity to fly on the Zipline across the Tara Canyon.

Famous for its turquoise clean water and 1300m deep, the Tara Canyon is 2nd biggest canyon in the world (after Colorado). Return to Kolasin.

4th Day - Horseback Riding Day

After breakfast, we meet horses, get instruction from a guide and final preparation of the ride can begin. After we get on with horses we are ready to ride along the stream and woods to Izlazak, and Bjelasica meadows. Ride goesto Cirilovac monastery. A visit to a monastery is not a must-do, but we warmly recommend it. Nuns will for sure welcome all guests with a smile and serve them a drink.

After relaxation, we can continue the tour back to Kolasin, or, for those more experienced adventure lovers we will go up to Kljuc, a peak where we will enjoy an amazing view of Kolasin, the mountains, and valleys around. Ride continues to eko katun Vranjak at Bjelasica. Return near the ski resort to Kolasin.

5th Day – Day off – Free Day

We recommend walking in our small town and visiting the Botanical Garden. O/n Bijeli Potok cabins

6th Day –Adrenaline day at canyon Nevidio

The Nevidio Canyon is located near Savnik, around 2 hour's drive from Kolasin. Preparations for entrance into the canyon are being made upon arrival in Poscenje village. Passing through the canyon lasts about 3 hours. After leaving the canyon, we return to the car and have a break and a drink.

For lunch, we recommend a picnic in nature or a restaurant at one of the camps.

*The Nevidio Canyon is located in the central part of Montenegro, on the slopes of the Durmitor Mountain. It is a part of the Mala Komarnica River that springs in Dobri Do. The name Nevidio (never seen) is the right name for the canyon since the Komarnica River suddenly loses into a strangely carved entrance and becomes invisible to the human eye. The canyon is about 3km long and has a large number of waterfalls, whirls, and passages made by the water.

The width of the canyon is less than 1 meter in some places and the height of rocks reaches almost 400m. When the water level is high some parts of the canyon can be passed only by using climbing equipment. Due to the vertical rocks, sun rays may not reach the bottom and for that reason, steep and unapproachable rocks have harsh conditions for vegetation.

The unique beauty of the gorge, cascades, and sparkling waterfalls that the Nevidio Canyon has is more than enough to visit this amazing jewel of Montenegro.

As an alternative to this day (if someone thinks canyoning might be too much for them) we can arrange kayaking at the Tara River near Kolasin. Guided classes with an instructor.

7th Day –Biking / Mountain Biking

Along the Plasnica river, through Lipovo village valley on the slopes of Lipovo *mountain biking lovers will have the opportunity to get some rides up in Sinjavina mountain and + visit Misko cheese farm.

8th Day – Departure Day

Depending on the flight time we plan for this day (possible to organize a visit to Virpazar and Skadar Lake –also NP area)

Price includes transfers, accommodation–FB, English-speaking guide, rafting, all taxes for the National Park areas,...-full service from arrival to departure.

The minimum number of participants for this tour is 4.
